Launch requirement: these terms are a substantive EU/Netherlands-oriented draft, not a substitute for review by Dutch counsel. The final service model, any prices, payment terms, withdrawal flow, and dispute body must be completed before commercial launch.
1. Provider
TuringLingo is a brand of Conscious Green ICT B.V., a private limited company established in the Netherlands with its registered office at Orionstraat 38, 1033 EV Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Conscious Green ICT B.V. is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK number 92141471 and has VAT identification number NL865902495B01. Contact: legal@turinglingo.com.
2. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms apply when you access or use the TuringLingo website, account, courses, Interview Prep, recommendations, or related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 16 to create an account independently. If mandatory law requires permission from a parent or legal representative, you must have that permission. Consumers retain all rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
3. The service
TuringLingo provides self-paced learning material for practical IT and AI skills. Courses are designed to build knowledge. Interview Prep is a separate practice experience designed to help users rehearse role-specific questions and scenarios.
Features, content, and availability may evolve. Information shown before a purchase or subscription, if paid services are introduced, forms part of the applicable agreement and takes precedence over general descriptions.
4. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you knowingly authorise. We may apply reasonable security controls and ask you to verify account ownership.
5. Learning content and outcomes
TuringLingo content is educational and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, employment, or certification advice. We aim to keep material useful and accurate, but technology changes and examples may become outdated. You should verify critical technical decisions in the relevant official documentation.
Completing a course or interview practice does not guarantee certification, admission, an interview, employment, promotion, or any other professional outcome.
6. Information you provide
You retain ownership of the answers, notes, and other material you enter while learning. You grant Conscious Green ICT B.V. a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and process that material only as needed to provide and secure the features you use, subject to the Privacy Policy.
TuringLingo does not ask you to upload files. Do not enter unlawful content, unnecessary sensitive information, or confidential information you are not authorised to disclose.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorisation, automate access in a way that burdens the service, copy or redistribute protected content beyond applicable exceptions, impersonate another person, or use the service for unlawful or harmful activity.
8. Intellectual property
Conscious Green ICT B.V. and its licensors retain rights in the TuringLingo service, brand, software, illustrations, course structure, and original content. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended learning purpose. Mandatory copyright exceptions remain unaffected.
9. Third-party services
Authentication, progress storage, and hosting rely on third parties, currently Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Google Play. Their terms and privacy notices may also apply to your direct interaction with them. TuringLingo is responsible for its own obligations and does not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Paid services and consumer rights
No price or subscription is offered by this website version. Before any paid service is activated, TuringLingo will clearly disclose the total price, billing frequency, duration, renewal and cancellation conditions, main functionality, compatibility, and payment obligation before checkout.
EU consumers who contract at a distance generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to statutory conditions and exceptions. Immediate supply of digital content during that period will only begin in circumstances permitted by law, including any required express request, acknowledgement, and confirmation. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory conformity, remedy, refund, or withdrawal rights.
11. Changes to the service or Terms
We may make reasonable changes for security, legal compliance, technical compatibility, or product improvement. Material changes affecting an ongoing contract will be communicated in advance where required. If mandatory law gives you a right to terminate because of a change, that right remains available.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security, unlawful use, serious breach, or legal obligations. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Account termination does not remove rights or obligations that accrued earlier.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory consumer rights, data-protection obligations, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, Conscious Green ICT B.V. is not responsible for indirect business losses arising from consumer use, or for loss caused by events outside reasonable control. Any limitation will be interpreted narrowly and will not deprive consumers of an effective remedy for failure to supply conforming digital content or services.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer living in another EU or EEA country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under the law of your habitual residence, and you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Please first contact legal@turinglingo.com so we can try to resolve a complaint. Before launch, Conscious Green ICT B.V. must identify any competent or committed alternative dispute-resolution body. The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued in 2025 and is therefore not linked here.
